Inauguration of DDU-GKY centre in Samastipur
Deen Dayal Upadhyaya-Grameen Kausalya Yoiana (DDU-GKY) is the skilling and placement initiative of the Ministry of Rural Development (MoRD), Government of India. DDU-GKY has its origins in the Aajeevika Skills programme and the ‘Special Projects’ component of the Swarnjayanti Gram Swarozgar Yojana (SGSY). Scheme focusses on making skill acquisition aspirational among the rural poor, thereby helping to create a highly skilled and productive workforce.
On the guidelines of DDU-GKY, a centre was inaugurated by Dr. N.Vijaya Lakshmi, CEO in Samastipur. She visited Samastipur for inauguration of Empower Pragati centre on 22nd July 2015. This centre provides training to youths on Retail, Sales and Data Entry. She has been a great mentor in opening of various centres in different districts of Bihar.
